There are honestly MANY variations in belts, mostly in length – when ordering belts for your SR. It depends on what year, what chassis, what engine. The pulley diameters as well as accessory mounting bracket locations change slightly many times.
This means a lot of people end up getting the incorrect belts for their cars. If you get one that’s too long, you wont be able to tension it properly. If you get one that’s too short, you wont be able to install it – or it will be too tight. Either way, it’s not as straight forward as it may seem to get them all right.
